Grant Support

The SPNSG has received financial support from a variety of sources.

1. NIH: Federal funding (from NIDDK) has provided the support for five major studies carried out by the SPNSG.
2. Foundations: The National Kidney Foundation of Texas has provided grants to support a variety of projects. The Polycystic Kidney Foundation has also provided valuable support for sutdies in children with polycystic renal disease.
3. Many private companies, including Roche, Merck Research Laboratories, Pronova Biocare, Upjohn and Genentech, Inc., have provided grant support and/or study medications for specific clinical trials.
